LAHORE: India’s Border Security Force (BSF) once again began unprovoked firing near the working boundary in Bajwat and Chaprar sectors on Sunday, sources in Chenab Rangers have revealed.
The Chenab Rangers put up strong resistance to the attack. No casualties have been reported so far. However, the recurring incidents of unprovoked firing by BSF have compelled local villagers to raise voice against personal harm caused to the unarmed local farmers and residents without any justification.
Various houses–including a mosque – were damaged in the firing incident. There have been reports of considerable harm being caused to livestock which have generated panic among the local residents, sources in Chenab Rangers said.
According to the sources, India’s unprovoked firing on Saturday in Pasroor, Charwa and Harpal sectors left two civilians each from Khadral and Bajra Gari villages dead and three people injured. Local farmers have lost six heads of cattle whereas nearly 11 were injured in the incident.
After the Chenab Rangers retaliated to the firing started by the Indian BSF soldiers, the frequency of the firing from the Indian side eventually stopped.

The Indian side is taking advantage of our foolish politicians' foul plays.
