Mohammad Yousuf refuses to challenge PCB ban

Pakistani cricketer and former captain Mohammad Yousuf announces his retirement from cricket. (AFP)

LAHORE: The ban imposed on former cricket captain Mohammad Yousuf was finalised on Saturday, as he refused to challenge the punishment in protest.

Yousuf was among six other players who were penalised by the PCB for the teams’ dismal performance during the Australian tour. Yousuf along with former captain Younis Khan, was banned by PCB for an indefinite period.

The players were given the right to appeal in front of a 3-member tribunal. However, Yousuf instead chose to announce his retirement from all test cricket as a result.
