Female entrepreneurs: ‘Women should be given tax concessions’

Products prepared by women entrepreneurs for export should be allowed concession in taxes, said Malik Tahir Javed.

LAHORE: Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front Chairman Malik Tahir Javed discussed the role of women entrepreneurs in the economy while speaking to a delegation. The delegation was led by former Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry executive committee member Nabila Intisar. Javed said that government departments concerned should impart training to women, as a number of them were unable to make a mark in the international market despite having the skills. He said that women constitute more than half of our population but their creative skills are unutilised, therefore, there is a dire need to encourage them to join the mainstream economy. He said that the products prepared by women entrepreneurs for export should be allowed concession in taxes.

The only help for women needed is free education and encourage them for employment. Women entrepreneurs mostly belong to class that dont need tax breaks, there are no poor women entrepreneurs apart from some in cottage industry.

No way! Why not equality here? They should be paying equal tax being a citizen.
