CHARSADDA:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has appealed to his party’s youth wing to extend their full support to the victims of the military operation in North Waziristan Agency.

Imran was addressing the first-ever youth conference held in a private school of Charsadda district via video link on Saturday. The conference was a collaboration of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and Jawan Markaz, Peshawar.

The party chief said the situation in Pakistan is worsening by the day, adding that their homeland is suffering the consequences of flawed policies made by the rulers. Imran asked the youth to smoothen the future path for their country, as they are an integral part of PTI and change will never be possible without their active participation.

Chief organiser of the conference, Jahanzeb Dhaki, said while addressing the participants that the region will be made prosperous with their help. “This is our country and we will resolve all our conflicts ourselves too,” said Dhaki.

Youngsters performed patriotic songs, speeches and skits on the occasion, tailored to address local issues. During the event, the youth of Charsadda who have played a distinct role in any field were also awarded for their work.

A large number of PTI activists, students, women and children were in attendance at the conference.
