LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) approved on Friday the filing of two references, including one against a couple of former federal secretaries, in the Guddu Rental Power Plant case.  The decision was taken in the NAB’s Executive Board Meeting. In Guddu Rental Power Plant case, the accused – Ismail Qureshi and Shahid Rafi – were implicated in alleged corrupt practices and misuse of authority as they initiated the project without approval of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).  The EBM approved its second reference against Quetta Development Authority (QDA) ex-chairman Maqbool Ahmed Lehri, its ex-director Ali Muhammad Baloch, and others.
