Zarb-e-Azb is being carried out on the directions of foreign forces, and many of the victims are innocent, including the women and children, claimed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Sindh chapter secretary-general Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro.
Addressing a press conference at the Jamia Hamadia Manzil Gah Sukkur on Tuesday, Dr Soomro demanded an immediate stop to the operation, he said that the use of force is not the solution to this problem and may instead prove to be disastrous for the country.
Dr Soomro then went on to criticise Tahirul Qadri and said that the Lahore incident has tarnished the country’s image even further.
He then talked about the performance of the current government and stressed on the need of letting democracy continue. “Many political parties have differences with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz, but democracy should not be sabotaged in the name of politics,” he said.
