Having already removed law minister Rana Sanaullah from his post, the Punjab government bent over backwards to grant yet another demand of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri by forming a new joint investigation team (JIT), Express News reported early on Sunday.
As per Qadri's wishes, the new JIT includes representatives from Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Military Intelligence (MI) and the Police.
From Sunday, this team will investigate last Wednesday's clash outside the Minhajul Quran central secretariat in Lahore which left over a dozen people dead and 80 others injured.
On Friday, Dr Qadri had declared that he would only accept an inquiry by a joint investigation team that includes representatives of ISI, IB, MI and a judicial commission comprising three impartial judges of the Supreme Court (SC).

PML-N is trying its best to resolve the issue but its shameful to see PTI and PAT rubbing more just to get votes on empathy. Has Imran Khan ever emphasize on daily killings in Karachi, what about KPK?
Gaining empathy on each blood spill is the most ruthless form of democracy. Opposition is well aware that they can't get provincial seats from Punjab without chaos. And this is exactly what opposition is doing. Creating chaos again and again. Pakistan's democracy is facing tough time to stabilize due to bunch of irrational and self-righteous opposition,

The culprits need to be punished until then nothing is good enough.
Government is still trying to manipulate the justice to save murderers. Thay have not included impartial judges and investigators. They are trying to save NS and SS and their family member who were behind the planning and coordination of these attacks.
Very sad situation that those who we trusted in last elections have become war lords.
Pakistan is going through bad precedence one after another, This is bad for democracy to take roots. Too many bad actors on the scene and each one is showing naked hunger for power. Weak government, irresponsible opposition, bad foreign policies, overdose of religion and what not. As I see from outside, there is no one to lead Pakistan through this crisis. Its free for all. Pakistan has "Gullu Buts" in every street. Day is not too far when Oxford English dictionary will have a work " Gullu But" to describe that behavior. Hope Pakistani democracy makes it through this summer.
What else Qadri wants now. PMLN is not hiding anywhere, they are ready for investigation. Never happened in Pakistan before!

where are all those who were saying JIT would be unconstitutional to investigate Lahore Massacre? and only a one member judicial commission was the way to go? We are left with 2 options to proceed the case further neutrally and fairly 1. CM and Punjab govt to resign + this proposed JIT 2. Governor rule temporarily till conclusion of inquiry by this JIT. Then if Punjab Govt proves innocent, they may be restored.
Time has come to see the true face of Pak army. People of Pakistan are anxiously waiting whether they will protect the corrupt elite or side with a common citizen.
