LAHORE: The Lahore Police are investigating the abduction of former Joint Chief of Staffs, General Tariq Majeed's son in law, Malik Amir.
Addressing a press conference, the police officials said no breakthrough has been reached.
Police officials say they have arrested three groups and recovered a heavy amount of illegal weapons. Senior officials however declined to comment on the kidnapping-for-ransom cases.
Malik Amir was kidnapped near his residence about one and a half month ago.
The abduction rate this year has risen by 200 per cent as compared to last year.
