Budget 2014-15: Non-tax revenues

Expected that government will allocate nearly half a billion dollars for leftover spectrum.

KARACHI: One of the major successes of the 2013-14 fiscal years was the 3G/4G spectrum auction, which raised $1.1 billion for the government. 

But there is still the question of unsold spectrum, which shall play out in the coming fiscal year, with Dar saying in his budget speech that the auction will be held at an appropriate time.

It is expected that the government will raise around $504 million under non-tax revenues from the leftover 4G spectrum and 850MHz spectrum for the 2014-15 budget.
