GUJRANWALA:

Aroop police on Saturday recovered a three year-old girl who had been kidnapped on Friday and handed her over to her family. The father, Qaiser Abbas, a resident of Dera Awanan, had filed a complaint with the Aroop police on Friday stating that his daughter had gone missing. He suspected that she had been kidnapped.

The city police officer constituted a special team under the supervision of Gujranwala Cantt District Police Officer Asghar Ali Cheema to recover the girl and arrest the kidnappers.

The police team raided several areas in Lahore, Muridke, Dhariwal, Rehmanabad, Kot Shera, Qila Dedar Singh and Ludhiwala Warraich. They found the girl standing near a pan shop in Dera Awanan.
