PINDI BHATTIAN:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan presented a dire outlook on the political future of the Sharif brothers who head the federal government in the centre and the provincial setup in Punjab, forecasting that their rule was bound to prematurely unravel.

Both Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif cannot save those who aided and abetted rigging in last year’s general elections, Imran told supporters at a rally in connection with the by-election campaign of PTI candidate for Punjab Assembly seat PP-107 in Pindi Bhattian area of Hafizabad. “We’ll bring them to justice,” he added.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz massively rigged the 2013 general elections which is why it is afraid of re-verification of voters even in four constituencies, Imran said. “Both eyesight and counting skills of the PML-N ministers are weak,” he said in a lighter vein.

The party that claims to have bagged 14.5 million votes cannot stage a public rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, in Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi or Quetta. “The PML-N hasn’t given Punjab anything, except Jangla Bus,” he said, referring to the Lahore Metro Bus in which the chief minister takes great pride.

The PTI chief said the government has obliged Najam Sethi, who was caretaker chief minister of Punjab at the time of the 2013 elections, and appointed him chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board or else he would have spilled the beans on the massive rigging. “Free, fair and transparent elections are not possible unless the whole system is rectified,” he added.

He wondered that India’s Congress party was rejected by the electorate for his poor performance – but on the other hand, the PML-N, which did nothing for the people during its five-year rule in Punjab, polled 14.5 million votes.

“The self-proclaimed Khadim-e-Aala [chief public servant], Shahbaz Sharif, should tell the nation what has he done for 36 districts of Punjab,” Imran said. “The PML-N can no longer fool the masses.” The PTI chief said that like Faisalabad, successful rallies would also be staged in other cities.

“We’ll not rest until those who rigged the elections are brought to justice,” he added. Other PTI leaders, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, also addressed the rally.

Pakistan is doomed for further chaos and division. Just wait and watch Afghanistan develop while Pakistan is loosing Balochistan and Karachi. Sensible people should leave this hole runned and ruined by thieves.
