The Secretariat police on Friday arrested two men who had allegedly been looting people by impersonating officials of intelligence agencies.
The Secretariat police stopped a car with a green number plate (LEB-6071) at a checkpoint near Rawal Dam Chowk. The two men in the car introduced themselves as officials of a security agency but could not provide any supporting documents. Upon searching the car, the police found two registration plates, a revolving light, four police caps, two army caps and a registration book.
The real registration number of the car was found to be LE-4761, the police said. The police registered a case against the suspects, Shahid Munawar and Mohsin Khan.
