Lahore zoo's oldest lion passes away at the age of 16

The animal, named Jumbo, reportedly stopped eating food since the past one week.

LAHORE: The oldest lion at the Lahore zoo died at the age of 16 on Tuesday, Express News reported.

The animal, named Jumbo, had reportedly stopped eating food since the past one week.

Injections and vitamins were being given to the animal in order to revive his health but Jumbo passed away today (Tuesday).

Established in 1872, the Lahore Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world. It houses more than a hundred different species of animals.
