Lights out: Five busted for using fireworks

Rawalpindi Police makes arrests them for violating marriage ordinance.

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police have arrested five persons for use of firecrackers at marriage ceremonies. On a tip-off, the Pirwadhai police raided a wedding and arrested Zahid, who was involved in the display of fireworks. The police also recovered fireworks from his possession. Meanwhile, the Civil Lines police netted Abid and Latif from Rehmatabad area. Both were involved in display of fireworks at a wedding ceremony. Another accused, Numan, was rounded up from Dehri Hasanabad, while the Morgah police arrested Tabish from Shadman Colony. Fireworks were also recovered from their possession. All five men were booked for violating the marriage ordinance.
