Asif has been placed in Group F alongside UAE’s Abdul Rahman al-Shamsi, Syria’s Haitham Sheikh Khalil and Mongolia’s Batsukh Baldandorj.

Meanwhile, Hamza will compete in Group H with Hong Kong’s Alan Tang Ho Lin, Jordan’s Mamoun Mahameed, Iran’s Soheil Vahedi and Iraq’s Muneeb al-Juboori.

Pakistan’s third participant Iqbal will fight it out in Group P against UAE’s seasoned player Mohamed Shahab, Malaysia’s Keen Hoo Moh and South Korea’s Chulho Huang.

Praising the Pakistan squad, Asif said he believes that all three cueists have the potential of winning the title if they play to their best during the upcoming week.

“We’ve got a really good squad because both Hamza and Iqbal are explosive players who can give tough time on their day,” Asif told The Express Tribune.

“I’m looking to add another title to my account as well, so it’s an important week ahead.”
