ISLAMABAD: Local traders have appealed to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to intervene and direct the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to desist from deploying its officials. They appealed against conducting raids at the premises of registered businesses as it has created havoc in the business community.  ICT Chamber of Small Traders President Khalid Mian said that registered businessmen are being harassed unnecessarily by the FBR officials, due to which many are planning to shut down. He urged that the finance minister should immediately intervene to save the registered traders from the uncalled-for initiatives of the FBR. He said this while presiding over a meeting of the Sub-Committee on Tax of ICT Chamber of Small Traders.
