Pouring down: Rain hits most parts of the province

Most lower and upper areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa experienced showers on Friday.

PESHAWAR: Most lower and upper areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa experienced showers on Friday. An official at the meteorology office, Muhammad Nisar, said the rain would continue in some parts of the province. The most rain was recoded in Timergara, Lower Dir at 87 millimetres (mm), followed by Malam Jabba, Swat which received 66mm. Kohat and Saidu Sharif saw 27mm and 16mm of rain, respectively. Nisar mentioned some areas like Peshawar, Nowhsera and southern districts received heavy rainfall, adding the city may see showers on Friday night as well as Saturday afternoon. Northern areas of K-P may also experience continued rainfall on the weekend, he said.
