Sialkot's first Hajj flight leaves for Jeddah

SIALKOT: 

The first Hajj flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) took off from Sialkot International Airport for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with 468 pilgrims on board, on Friday.

Pilgrims, numbering 4,212 are set to leave for Hajj through this airport this year. PIA will be operating nine flights till November 6, 2010 to facilitate the travel.

PIA had started direct international Hajj flights from Sialkot International Airport last year, when it was decided that this airport was convenient and easily accessible to people from Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.
