PESHAWAR: Four suspected militants were killed while another sustained injuries in an armed attack on a car in South Waziristan, Express News reported on Monday.

According to initial details, unidentified armed men opened fire on a car in the Shaktoi area of the agency.

The incident occurred in the Shaga mountainous, close to the border with North Waziristan Agency. The suspected militants were on way to the area from Miramshah, North Waziristan.

In a separate incident, in the Zar Milan area of South Waziristan, a man named Atiqur Rehman was kidnapped by armed men. Rehman, who happens to be the nephew of former provincial minister Sher Azam Wazir, had come to the area to hunt cranes.
