Two police officials including a sub inspector and assistant sub inspector were suspended on Tuesday over allegations of corruption and malpractice in Bannu district.


Confirming the incident, Bannu Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sajid Ali Khan said they suspended Saddar police station house officer sub inspector Allah Nawaz and Mandan police station assistant sub inspector Umer Khitab for their alleged corrupt practices and frequent public complaints against them.


Khan said an enquiry has been initiated against them and a final decision would be taken on the basis of the result of the investigation.


RPO Sajid Khan said no corruption would be tolerated in the police department.


He added that they would not only terminate dishonest officials but would also appreciate loyal and honest officials for their good performance.
