KARACHI:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) committee dismissed allegations of unfair play in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup 2013-14 match played between the Sialkot Stallions and Karachi Dolphins on February 11.

The three-member PCB committee included General Manager Domestic Cricket Operations Shafiq Ahmed, Senior Manager Security and Anti-Corruption, Lt Col (retd) Wasim Ahmed Shahid and an independent cricketer Mr Ali Naqvi.

After a thorough investigation that also involved hearings from former Test cricketer Basit Ali, Sialkot players, support staff and match officials, the committee dismissed the allegation due to insufficient evidence to support the claim. However, the officials agreed that the matter was open to re-examination if new evidence surfaced in the future.
