Improving Pakistan’s image

Letter February 16, 2014
Lobbying can only work if there is something to work with, which in the case of Pakistan is missing.

RENO, NEVADA, USA: This is with reference to Lamia Zia’s piece “Pakistan’s representation on the Hill” (February 14). How can Pakistan have any positive results on Capitol Hill, when we daily hear about killings of innocent people and the persecution of minorities? No amount of money can change that.

Only if the Pakistan government enforces the rule of law can this situation be fixed. Lobbying can only work if there is something to work with, which in the case of Pakistan is missing.
