Cylinder blasts: Child killed, five injured in explosions

Two rooms and boundary wall of house also destroyed in explosion.

CHARSADDA: A child was killed while five others were injured in twin cylinder blasts in different parts of Charsadda district on Monday. Haidar Khan, the SHO of Shabqadar police station, said the first blast took place inside Qadir Gul’s house in Garangi area of Shabqadar tehsil. He added that five-year-old Abu Bakar died on the spot while three-year-old Anisa, five-year-old Salman, seven-year-old Faiza and six-year-old Shazia were injured and taken to a hospital. Two rooms and the boundary wall of the house were destroyed in the explosion. Another cylinder blast took place on the Charsadda-Mardan Road. According to Charsadda police station SHO Ijaz Khan, a 14-year-old identified as Farhan was injured in the blast. He was taken to DHQ Hospital and discharged after treatment. Doctors said his condition was stable.
