Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif’s father Abdul Latif was laid to rest on Tuesday. He died after prolonged illness on Monday.


His funeral was attended by many cricketers including Shahid Afridi, Younus Khan, Mohammad Sami, Danish Kaneria, Sarfraz Ahmed, Asad Shafiq, Khalid Latif, Faisal Iqbal, Jalaluddin, Shoaib Mohammad, Moin Khan, Nadeem Khan and Sadiq Mohammad. Furthermore, people from different walks of life also attended the funeral.


Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf, Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed and Director General Javed Miandad sent their heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Mr Latif.
