Signs of change: Promoting peace and education in Bajaur Agency

Political administration installs billboards emblazoned with public service messages to ensure peaceful environment.

KHAR: To promote peace, education and development, the political administration of Bajaur Agency installed billboards emblazoned with public service messages throughout the agency.

The political administration intends to start a mass awareness campaign to ensure a peaceful and learning environment as well as eradicate social ills.

Billboards inscribed with slogans regarding the significance of peace and development as well as the negative impact of drugs have been installed at ten prominent places in the agency including Bajaur Highway.

Another ten messages were also displayed after consulting with tribal elders during the second phase of the campaign. According to the political administration, billboards are an effective method for imparting useful messages to the young generation and the authorities believe it will have a positive impact on them.

Love it. Keep it up political administration and Pak army. We need a systemised way to curb extremism in these areas. FATA people are some of most patriotic and brave people I ever met.
