Scare Tactics: Blast damages jirga member’s house

Ali Sher, an official of the political administration, said the incident occurred after midnight on Friday.

JAMRUD: The house of a social activist and member of a qaumi jirga was partially destroyed when a bomb planted by unidentified militants exploded near it in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency. Ali Sher, an official of the political administration, said the incident occurred after midnight on Friday in the Naye Abadi area of Jamrud. He said the bomb exploded  near the boundary wall of Rahat Shah’s house which destroyed the gate. The official added the sound of the blast was heard for miles.
