Chaudhry Aslam was killed in a bomb blast on Thursday and shortly afterwards the TTP claimed responsibility for it. Three other police officers also died in the attack.
Earlier, it was reported that an FIR was filed against "unidentified people" under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Background
Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that the suspected suicide bomber, who allegedly rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into slain Aslam’s Vigo, has been identified as Naeemullah, the son of a prayer leader.
Some body parts allegedly of a suspected attacker were found at the bomb site on Friday and sent to the National Database and Registration Authority for identification.
“[We are] 98% sure that a suicide bomber hit the explosives-laden Suzuki cargo van with Aslam’s Vigo,” Crime Investigation Department (CID) DIG Zafar Bukhari told The Express Tribune.
Police officials earlier also insisted that the investigation is only in its initial stages and things could change.

But not because of their safe heavens, instead at our confusion and disarray as a nation about: "Who to protect and who to let die" from Pak Army cadets to JI's TP friends, to innocent shoppers, students, shriners, religious minorities, music lovers, polio workers, border guards and security personnel. The TTP is shocked and laughing at our high tolerance for all the above murders & killings of fellow citizens plus high profile bank & jewelry store robberies and for murder or for ransom kidnapping. that's what they are laughing about in reality! Who are we by the way? Are we a nation or a bunch of poor at the mercy of cut throats?

These terrorist leaders must be laughing at us in their safe havens. As long as they have these safe havens nobody can do anything to our strategic assets. How can we take any action against these people when our ruling parties want to negotiate with them? How can we arrest them or try in our courts when we show outrage when any one of them is killed by drone?
