Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) organized a “Natia Mushaira” to commemorate Eid Miladun Nabi.


Poet Anwar Masood presided over the event while Dr Ehsan Akbar was the chief guest. Masood said besides saying Naat it is also our responsibility to apply the teaching of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in our daily life. Dr Akbar said that Naat poetry not only honoured the Urdu literature but also introduced a new genre on a spiritual level.


PAL Chairman Abdul Hameed said there is a need to get guidance from the life of our Prophet. Renowned poets of the twin cities including Haleem Qureshi, Khawar Naqvi, Anjum Khaleeq, Wafa Chishti, Ali Muhammad Farshi, Arsh Hashmi, Manzar Naqvi, Saeed Doshi, Bedil Jonpuri, Akhtar Usman, Ghazanfar Hashmi, Abida Taqi, Noshaba Adnan, Rashida Malik, Sail Nizami, Mohsin Sheikh, Shakeel Akhtar, Amin Kunjahi, Rukhsana Sehar, Asghar Abid, Shoaib Mazhar and Aqeel Shah (Kohat)recited their Naatia poetry.
