PESHAWAR: The biometric system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) flopped within three months of installation, Express News reported on Thursday.

A global positioning satellite (GPS)-based biometric system was installed in public as well as educational institutions to ensure 100% attendance.

Express News reported that employees were recording their attendance in registers.

At government institutions around 60 percent of the employees were not able to enter their data into the machines.

Some machines only worked for two days after installation.

@Masood Mirza: Absolutely right, but which is it? Where are the details? Is it really so difficult for the newspaper to get hold of any details of the incident or possible causes of failure that it can muster only three lines saying "it failed" and stopping there? Surely, there has to be a reason. The fact that these details are missing make this piece of news highly suspect.

@Masood Mirza: Next time, make a valid point before imploding in your own verbal diaroha. PTI has accomplished more in KP in a few months than the current federal government can't even fathom in 10 terms (god forbid). Perhaps you should assess your party before pointing fingers at the people who are working hard to help people.
