BANNU:

Paramedic staff in Frontier Region (FR) Bannu warned authorities they would boycott the next polio drive if their stipend for the past three campaigns was not paid.

A meeting of the paramedic staff was held on Thursday where Paramedics Association President Rasool Nawaz said despite severe risks they had successfully carried out three polio drives to eradicate the virus, but were yet to receive remuneration.

He further alleged campaigners in the FR get paid less than workers in settled areas.
