Spreading good cheer: Lawyers organise Christmas celebration

Lahore Bar Association VP says they have deep respect for Christian lawyers and never discriminate against them.

The Christian Lawyers Association Pakistan and others held a Christmas celebration at the district and sessions court on Saturday.


Lahore Bar Association vice president and senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League Lawyers Forum Lahore Division, Tauqeer Sadiq, organised a cake cutting ceremony for the Christian lawyers’ community.  Sadiq said they were in solidarity with the Christian community. He said they had deep respect for Christian lawyers and had never discriminated against them. He said holding Christmas celebrations strengthened community ties. CLAP General Secretary Advocate Yousaf Shaukat Dial thanked the lawyers’ community for organising the event and said Christianity was a message of love, unity and brotherhood. He said Muslims and Christians shared the same joys and sorrows. Advocates Rana Ashraf and Malik Muhammad Hanif Awan among others participated.
