The Anti Terrorism Court on Monday released 13 Islami Jamiat Talaba members from the Punjab University who had been accused of setting a bus on fire.
The students had been booked under Section 7 of the Anti Terrorism Act on several charges including attempted murder, interfering in state business, and torturing and detaining two professors.
The court had sent the students to stand in an identification parade. The bus conductor, driver and supervisor, who were supposed to identify them, failed to pick them. Jail authorities on Monday produced the students including Zeeshan, Imran, Bilal, Umair before ATC court where they were discharged from the case.
Earlier, a magisterial court had sent students Hafiz Wajid, Abdul Kabeer, Farooq Khan, Adam Malik, Zubair Sahi and Umar Balli and others on a 14-days judicial remand. Police said they had confiscated a pistol 0.30 bore pistol, footage of a surveillance camera and the students’ mobile phones. The police had arrested 22 Punjab University students affiliated with the IJT a month ago. These arrests had sparked violent protests by IJT activists.

may be there was no fire to bus, even poor driver will say that. I blame our police for them acquitted
If they were in the footage of surveillance camera there was no need to call people for identification. The bus conductor, driver and supervisor could have been saved from possible threats.
Surely it is all work of threats to poor driver and conductor.And a muk muka between JI and the Punjab govt.
Strong possibility of the bus driver , conductor and supervisor being threatened and not to identify the goons who set the bus on fire :(
Case must be registered against Rana Sanaullah for wasting the time of the court, and for fabricating cases.
