Bloodied crossings: Three killed on road

Three people were killed and three others injured in two different road accidents here on Sunday, the police said.


Two people were killed and three others injured when a speeding dumper (KPK-2577) collided with a Suzuki Van (LEE-3816) near Kak Bridge, in the limits of Lohi Bher Police Station.

Muhammad Aqeel and Muhammad Shabir died on the spot, whereas Naveed Ahmed, Shoukat and Shakeel Khan sustained critical injuries. Locals shifted the injured and bodies of the deceased to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

In another accident, a pedestrian passed away after being run over by a speeding truck at Koral Chowk.

Atta Muhammad, 50, was hit by a speeding truck (Peshawar-2045) while crossing the road near Koral Chowk. He died on the spot. The driver, Naseem Khan, was arrested by the police and his vehicle impounded.
