Breach causes flooding of 2 villages near Mehar

The two villages flooded are Mehboob Chandio and Ali Sher Magsi.

MEHAR: Two villages have been inundated after a breach emerged in the embankment near Mehar city in Sindh.

Sources say unidentified people caused the breach in the Ring embankment.

As a result, two villages including Mehboob Chandio and Ali Sher Magsi have been flooded.

The flood water is now headed towards Mehar. Locals are trying to plug the breach on their own, as Irrigation Department officials have failed to reach the site.

Flood waters have previously caused havoc in the Mehar district flooding over 80 villages in the region.
