Firing in Hafizabad kills three police officers including SHO

The fugitives who shot the officers were allegedly involved in various criminal acts such as murder and robbery.

HAFIZABAD: Three police officers including SHO Pindi Bhattian were killed in an exchange of fire with fugitives in Hafizabad, Express News reported on Saturday.

These fugitives were allegedly involved in various criminal acts such as murder and robbery.

Previous incidents

On November 19, two policemen were gunned down by unidentified assailants in separate incidents in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). Constable Ataullah was killed outside a church in Umidabad in the limits of Pishtakhara police station in Peshawar. Elsewhere, a head constable of the police special branch, Rahat Gul, was shot dead by an unidentified gunman at main Shabqadar Bazaar.

On November 18, two policemen had lost their lives and an inspector was wounded when armed motorcyclists attacked the police van in Nazimabad, Karachi. 40-year-old Rahat and 50-year-old Muhammad Siddiq had died while sub-inspector Mir Muhammad was injured in the attack.
