3 officials killed in IED blast

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Mohmand chapter claimed responsibility for the attack.

Three khasadar officials were killed, while four others were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Dawizai, Pandiali tehsil in lower Mohmand Agency.  


Muhammad Naeem Khan from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas police force said the men were on their way back to Dawizai when an IED exploded on the roadside. Sultan Khan died on the spot, while Samiullah, Jabar Khan and Muhammad Shah were taken to Peshawar for treatment. The other injured men were treated at Additional Headquarters Hospital Ghallanai.

Samiullah and Jabar Khan later succumbed to their injuries.
