Defending champions Pakistan are on top of the table with successive victories over Oman (8-0), China (5-1) and Malaysia (1-0) respectively, and appear favourites to secure a place in the final.
India, on the other hand, are struggling after taking a solitary victory over Oman from three of their matches after losing to Japan and China.
A victory over their archrivals will ensure Pakistan a place in the final.
“We are in a good position and confident,” head coach and manager Tahir Zaman told The Express Tribune ahead of the match. “It may be not be a must win game for us but we are aiming for victory to cement our place in final.”
However, the coach added that his team will have to put a well-rounded show, terming India a tough opponent.
