KARACHI:

The organising committee for the Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi refused to accept the Ski Federation of Pakistan’s (SFP) direct entry into the event.

The SFP Secretary Mussarat Ali ignored the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and sent the Dignitary Form for Sochi 2014 directly to the Winter Olympics organising committee, who refused to accommodate the request and quoted that only POA should send the relevant documents.

Meanwhile, the continental manager of the Winter Olympics stated that the committee will only correspond with the Olympic Committee of Asia’s recognised and legitimate POA, which is led by Arif Hasan.
