First and foremost, we send our heartfelt condolences to the security personnel’s families. We also wish a quick and speedy recovery to the injured. We commend their bravery and greatly appreciate all of their sacrifices in fighting terrorism. Incidents like these highlight the importance of cross border coordination between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The terrorists continue to disrupt our peace efforts on both sides of the border. And they would love to see both nations remain tangled in their differences for the sake of gaining advantage. It is simply imperative for both nations to work together for the sake of negating the threat of terrorism in the region. We cannot have a safe and secure region without a safe and secure Afghanistan and Pakistan. We wish to see both nations form a healthy partnership and work together to counter insurgency. We stand by both governments and hope to continue to our partnership in regards to our peace objectives.
