PESHAWAR: K-P Governor Engineer Shaukatullah has expressed concern over continuous emergence of polio cases in different parts of the country. He emphasised more efficient and strenuous efforts to reach each and every child and vaccinate them against polio. The governor was presiding over a high level meeting where the pace of progress and the targets achieved through various polio vaccination campaigns were discussed. “This is our problem and we are struggling to protect our own children from becoming victim of the fatal disease and even the slight increase in number of reported cases poses a great challenge,” he said. He thanked the WHO, UNICEF and other donors for their support and cooperation as well as strong commitment in making the polio eradication campaign a real success.
