Dr Uzma Butt in Civil Hospital confirmed that the girls who were sisters, had been raped and the cause of their death were the bullet wounds on their bodies.
The girls, aged 14 to 16 were recovered from a canal in the city a day earlier.
Police said that they were kidnapped, murdered and then dumped in a canal in the Madan Chak area. Both the girls were wearing school uniforms when they were found.
News of the two murders came on the same day as the recovery of the body of a 13-year-old girl murdered, raped and dumped on a Karachi beach. The victim was also in school uniform.

@Syed: Not that same apologistic line again and again;read the latest ruling from the Ulema council.It specifically says 4 witnesses to prove rape and DNA not allowed.
@Bill: Stop generalizing, it's not a general practice. Crime are committed everywhere. Sadly law and order is not on our leaders' top priority.
If there is Islamic state no one dare to commit this kind of crime. They are our daughters and who is asking four witnesses for these poor girls. Why are you people blaming Islamic laws for this atrocity. The culprits must be hanged publicly.

Its extremely disappointing to see such news coming from pak on daily basis now. These people should be caught and hanged asap.
Sounds like a network of sadistic, school rapists with an organized, country-wide pattern. Easy to setup such a band of fiends in this digital age, mobile, facebook, etc. Hard not to ignore such a developmental possibility considering child pornography and rape is a worldwide digital club with stings occurring in the USA, Eastern Europe, and The Far East Islands...
First I pray for the 2 innocent girls, may Allah SWT give them peace and jannat. It sickens me that this can happen anywhere in the world, especially in a Muslim country.
I'm hoping the authorities are doing something serious about this. It would also be wise to take DNA samples from the victims.
Hopefully the people/person who did this are caught. The DNA evidence is crucial. I admit that forensic sciences might not be as advanced in Pakistan but there are more than enough smart and capable people in Pakistan who can use & understand the sciences. Once the evidence is destroyed, it won't come back.
yet another medical report showed that was a rape incident but maulvis would still say there were no four witnesses so the rapist should be freed and let the party begin, in my opinion maulvis enjoy rapes
Rapes were always happening in Pakistan. 95% of the rapes dont get reported. It is only now after incidents in India getting media outrage we have started reporting. Pakistanis are under the impression that we are a pure Islamic country where everyone prays five times a day, there are no rapes, people dont drink alcohol and homosexuality and bisexuality is not there. Looks like we just dont want to accept the reality.
