Pakistani actor Mahnoor Baloch has certainly kept us on her toes. After her recent stint in Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, the actor is now seen in the trailer of Hollywood film Torn. Facebook is flooded with shared posts of Mahnoor’s new project, with people going gaga over her acting skills (and good looks).
Directed by Jeremiah Birnbaum, Torn is a family drama that revolves around two families whose sons are killed in a bomb explosion. The age-defying beauty, who was recently seen shaking her toned leg in the much-hyped Pakistani movie Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, will be playing a lead character (one of the mothers) in the movie alongside Star Trek’s Captain Robau, Faran Tahir. Torn also stars actors John Heard and Dendrie Taylor.
Mahnoor made her debut on television back in 1993 with PTV’s hit drama serial Marvi and has been working on and off ever since. The movie was previously titled Two Mothers but was then changed. It is scheduled to release some time this year. You go, girl!

@black widow - hope the movie flops why does ET allow such retartded statements? Why are we trying to achieve, a lack of basic intelligence that just because you can post a comment you troll to post mean childish posts? If we do not support our own brothers & sisters who do we support? This may not be a too Hollywood film but any visibility by a Pakistani actor open doors for others in the media field. We have a mean vicious streak of people in Pakistani who lack basic civility who because of their inferior complex want their fellow citizens to fail the rest of us need to identity them and pull these pariahs out in the open.
She looks good in the trailer, far better and classy than other 'mother'. I hope she gets noticed and gets many more films in Hollywood!
@Lalagee - so the criteria for judging cinema, directorial work, or performance in a role will now be merited by whether you, Lalagee, have heard about them or not? What are you, Siskel & Ebert in one?
What?? Not grandma from anywhere shes only in 30s
This really is huge occasion for Mahnoor aswell for Pakistan. Though its not a High brand Hollywood movie, but surely a superb start. To be on the top of Mountain, You have to start from base and thats what Mahnoor did. Once you perform and get noticed, it doesn't take long to get in the main stream. Ahnoor must now focus on international career big time. Now ultimate fame and success is just at a Stone's throw. Wish her all the best.
I hope the movie flops big time.
@Atif - What a rude male chauvinistic statement this is the typical statement that Pakistani women have to suffer from a male dominated society would you say the same about Shaan? He is a grandma now, but he looks good! Hopefully shallow people like this are not the mainstream of Pakistanis !
She looks good check out the trailer: Releasing October 18, 2013
