The district government has said it should install a turbine pump and ceiling fans at the Government Ransiwal Phatak College of Commerce.

Scores of students protested against the government on Sunday after one of the students fainted in the classroom. The students had blocked the main road in front of the college for several hours and protested against the delay in completion of some parts of the building and the absence of ceiling fans. They said that the college was shifted to the new building in April, but construction work in most of the sections was still incomplete. They said although the transformer had been installed, there were no ceiling fans in the classrooms. They complained that there was only one toilet for 500 students. They also said that there was no clean drinking water facility on the campus.

The students later dispersed when a district government team visited the scene and informed them that the government would install a turbine and ceiling fans at the college next week.
