WAZIRABAD: A 40-year-old woman, who said she was kidnapped from outside her house a year ago, was abandoned on Thursday near Darbar Data Shah Noorwali. Passers-by who found her said she was unconscious and half naked. She was in labour and taken to a hospital, where she had a stillbirth. When she came to, she told police that she was a resident of Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore and had been abducted. She said her kidnappers repeatedly raped her and beat her on resistance. Police said the woman would be escorted to Lahore once she is discharged from the hospital.
