The Supreme Court ordered the committee to complete its taks by October 8, 2010.
The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday formed a three-member committee to reconcile differences with bar representatives.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry also directed the committee to complete its task by the October 8, 2010.
The committee was formed during a hearing on the clash between lawyers and police in Lahore that took place a couple of days ago.
The committee comprises former Lahore High Court Chief Justice Mian Allah Nawaz, Pakistan Bar Council vice-chairman Kazim Khan and former Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Ali Ahmed Kurd.
Earlier, more than 1300 lower court judges across Punjab submitted resignations to show solidarity with District and Sessions Judge Justice Zawwar A Sheikh.
The chief justice of Pakistan also directed judicial officers not to submit their resignations and continue to perform their duties. He stressed that any issue between lawyers and judges should be resolved through dialogue.
