KARACHI: Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) “death squad” chief Masoom Billah admitted to planning the bomb attack on Sindh High Court Justice Maqbool Baqar, Express News reported on Wednesday.
Billah – who is in police custody – was brought to the city court today.
The arrested accused claimed that the planning of the attack took place at accomplice Bashir Leghari’s house.
The June 26 attack on Justice Baqar killed nine people and injured many more. Justice Baqar survived the blast with some injuries.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) – in reports submitted to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif – said it has detained the suspected ‘death squad’ chief of the outlawed LeJ.
Premier Nawaz was told that significant information was gleaned from Billah and that he told investigators that his group was planning more sectarian attacks in the country.

Journalism at its best. Not one mention as to a motive for attempting to kill Justice Baqar. Not a thought to the 9 people killed. Does no one care about them? Will journalists ever learn their trade or are they complacent fools with no curiosity for getting the full story and, maybe even, producing public opinion.

@Psueds: Perhaps you don;t know that LeJ and Taliban are not much different. Taliban are Extremist from JUI ( Jamiatet Ulma e Islam) specially from Sami ul Haq group. Sipahe Sahaba was formed by members of JUI (F) and LeJ consists of Extremist from Siph e Sahaba. Both Taliban and LeJ share the same ideology.
@Nelofar: because of the stupid evidence act prevailing in our present court system. no electronic, video, email, audio evidence is admissible in the court of law.

@ahmed41: Are you looking at the picture above this news article, this picture is of Justice Maqbool Baqar and not of Billa. ET should know better how to publish news and pictures, instead of Billa's picture, they are publishing justice Maqbool's picture while giving us the news about the terrorist Billa.. Either they are lazy or has no common sense, because generally you don't publish pictures of justices or lower court judges specially in terror cases and make them vulnerable. I don't think this comment will see the light of the day.

Comments above made very good observations. No matter how much leniency you show the beasts are not going to change so lets show courage and punish them everytime they do or plan something like this until they are either destroyed or mend their ways for good.
And who is supporting and financing them? it is important that we isolate them and push back on Saudi Arabia to stop providing support to these geonocidal retards.

@Nelofar: No witnesses, evidence is only circumstantial & police relies in their earlier confession which they retract in courts claiming it was coerced. Judiciary & police are both helpless due to lack of witnesses. Hence the missing persons, agencies when do not get a conviction they pick people up & put them in internment camps. That is the reason we need a new anti terrorism act

The important question is that if our security agencies are aware of the situation then why they are not able to prove it in courts and why our judiciary fail to punish them????
