SUKKUR: Larkana police on Thursday arrested six suspects accused of running a human trafficking ring and found a kidnapped girl from Sachal Colony, a posh locality of the city.

A heavy contingent of police led by Larkana city ASP Hassan Sardar Niazi raided a bungalow owned by one Mai Hajani Chandio after a tip-off that she was running a trafficking and prostitution den. Besides Mai Hajani, the police also arrested an ASI of Karachi East Police Line, Syed Abrar Ahmed, and his friend Qurutulain aka Ainee Khan, who also belonged to Karachi. The remaining three men were identified as Sarfaraz Buledi, Din Muhammad and Zafar Chandio.

Meanwhile, the kidnapped girl found by the police was identified as 25-year-old woman. She was kidnapped from Zahoor Chowrangi, Karachi, 10 days ago.

According to the initial investigations, the gang sold another girl who was also kidnapped from the same area, to a man in Qamber for Rs150,000 two days ago. A police party has been dispatched to Qamber to find the girl. The police also seized a car, chains and ropes, presumably used to tie up the girls, from the house.

Sources said that Mai Hajani hailed from Jacobabad and chose a posh locality to start her illicit business to avoid being caught. They also said that Abrar and Ainee used to kidnap girls from Karachi and brought them to Larkana to be sold to people in Punjab and Balochistan.

It's good to hear that these sisters were rescued from the clutches of some despicable and heartless people, alhamdulillah. The cruelty of some people is beyond comprehension. I hope and pray that Allah swt protect all from the cruel and callous people, In shaa Allah

It's good to see a crack down on these mafias. They usually operate with impunity by buying off local police. Hope to see a wave of arrests of this kind. @mssophiaakram
