Murder Cases: 3 set free after complaints withdrawn

Muhammad Arshad and Shahid were acquitted of the murder of Zahida Parveen in 2011.

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Chuadhry Tariq Javed has acquitted three people in two murder cases after the complainants withdrew their allegations.  Muhammad Arshad and Shahid were acquitted of the murder of Zahida Parveen in 2011. Complainants Abdul Majeed, Akbar Ali and Lal Badshah, the brother of the deceased, told the court that the accused were not guilty and they had no objection if they were acquitted. The judge also acquitted Sarwar Bhatti, who had been accused of murdering Razia Bibi after she refused to marry him. Relatives of Razia, including her sister Jameela Bibi and brother-in-law Tahir, said that the accused was not guilty.
