Foiled robbery bid: Policeman, two robbers injured

SUKKUR: A policeman and two robbers were injured in a foiled robbery attempt in a cloth market in Jacobabad on Sunday night.

Three armed men entered the shop of a Hindu cloth merchant, Sunder Das, who raised an alarm. A police party rushed to the scene after hearing his screams for help.

A policeman, Shah Mohammad Brohi, and two robbers, Habibullah Rind and Iqbal Rind, were injured as a result of exchange of fire.

Their third accomplice, however, managed to escape. The three injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Jacobabad.
