ATTOCK: A man allegedly killed his father-in-law over a minor dispute on Sunday. Bilal Khan, a resident of village Jalalia, informed the local police that his married sister came back to their house some fifteen days ago because of a domestic dispute with her husband, Shahid. “My brother-in-law demanded that my father should send his (Shahid’s) wife back but my father refused as he feared for his daughter’s safety,” said Khan according to the statement given to police. After the refusal to return, around noon Shahid came to our neighbourhood and shot dead my father near our house and fled thereafter, he said. Hazro police reached the spot after some time and shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital Attock for autopsy. The police registered a murder case against Shahid and started their investigation but no arrest had been made till the filing of this report.

Please do not sanitize these cold blooded murders as "honour" killings!
